Shanghai Yuntai Information Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GrowBook mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes.
• Plant Data: Plant names, species, photos, care schedules, observation notes, and tags you create within the App.
• Subscription Information: If you subscribe to premium features, payment is processed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility.
• Usage Data: Feature usage patterns to help us improve the App experience.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect location data.
• We do not access your contacts or call logs.
• We do not collect advertising identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core functionality.
• To sync your data across devices when you enable Cloud Sync (premium feature).
• To enable Family Sharing features when you invite family members.
• To send care reminder notifications (locally on your device).
• To improve the App and fix bugs.

3. Data Storage and Security

By default, all your plant data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync.

If you enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored securely on Supabase servers (hosted on AWS). Data is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored with row-level security policies.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Cloud database and authentication (only if you create an account and enable sync). Supabase Privacy Policy

• Google Play Services — App distribution and in-app purchases. Google Privacy Policy

5. AI Plant Identification

The plant identification feature runs entirely on your device using a TensorFlow Lite model. No photos are uploaded to any server for identification. Your photos remain on your device.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We only share data in these limited cases:

• With family members you explicitly invite through Family Sharing.
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data is stored on your device until you delete the App or clear its data. Cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated cloud data by contacting us at admin@yuntai.tech.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Export your data using the App's built-in backup feature (JSON format).
• Request deletion of your account and cloud data.
• Opt out of Cloud Sync at any time (data reverts to local-only storage).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
